Playa Gigante, Nicaragua

PLAYA GIGANTE, NICARAGUA

One of my favorite places on earth

March 7th, 2017

Playa Gigante is a tiny secluded fishing village on Nicaragua’s Pacific coast.

It offers fantastic food, great swimming, friendly locals and lots of surfers and backpackers. It's remote location and small village feel are what was the most appealing to me. The dirt roads, wandering animals and small grocery store create a village that still hasn't caved to modern technology and infrastructure. If you like breathtaking views and a laid back atmosphere then this is the place to be.

Amazing sunsets

This hostel has an ocean front view and friendly atmosphere.
Dale and his staff were very friendly and the cottages were reasonably priced.
We loved relaxing on the hammocks and watching the sunset from our cottage.

Great place to stay!

This is the life!

Local beer was plentiful!
